Timeline Of Lakeshore Dental Studio Process

Free Assessment

Medical and Dental history
At Lakeshore Dental Studio, your initial evaluation will include advanced 3D radiographic imaging using one of the most advanced CBCTs available. Dr. Kella, a board certified periodontist, will then conduct a thorough periodontal examination to determine if you are a suitable candidate for dental implants. Following this, we will discuss your treatment goals, present all available clinical options, and provide a comprehensive analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each option. If you are ready to proceed, a small deposit can be made to secure a records appointment and procedure date. However, there is no pressure to make a decision immediately. We understand that this is a significant decision, and we encourage you to take your time, consider your options, and reach out to us with any questions or if you wish to proceed.

RECORDS

Designing your New Smile
During your records appointment, we will assist you in planning your case, going through and signing all consent forms, discussing the medications you will be prescribed, and conducting digital scans of your current dentition. Together, we will strategize the design of your new smile, considering the shape, style, and shade of your new teeth. Once payment is settled, we will send your records to our lab to initiate preparations.

PROCEDURE

Placing your New Dental Implants
Once you arrive for the Lakeshore Dental Studio procedure, you will receive sedation and numbing to ensure your comfort. Dr. Kella will remove any remaining teeth if necessary, place your dental implants, and start the digital restorative phase. Afterward, an x-ray will be taken to accurately document the placement of your implants. Typically, this entire process takes approximately 3 hours. Before you leave, you will be provided with detailed written aftercare instructions that explain what to expect and how to handle postoperative matters.

Give it a try

Testing out your New Smile
On the very next day, you will come back for a follow-up appointment after your surgery. During this appointment, we will carefully examine all the areas where the implants were placed and the sutures to ensure that they are healing well. Our goal is to make sure that you are completely satisfied with the appearance, feel, and functionality of your new smile. To help with this, we will provide you with a 3D printed replica of your custom-designed teeth, which is different from a regular denture. These teeth will be securely attached and cannot be removed by the patient. If any adjustments are needed, we will make them and take another set of digital scans with your new teeth in place. If you have any specific aesthetic preferences, we will communicate them to our expert designers and provide you with a redesigned try-in the following day. If you are happy with everything as it is, we will proceed with creating the final design using high-quality zirconia. This entire appointment usually takes less than an hour.

ZIRCONIA DELIVERY

Presenting your New Forever Smile
After your design is approved, we will replace your printed try-ins with carefully crafted permanent zirconia teeth within 3-4 months. Dr. Kella will conduct a final checkup to ensure optimal healing and address any concerns you may have. This delivery of your final zirconia restoration will activate your hassle-free Lakeshore Dental Studio warranty, which covers both implants and your new zirconia teeth for 5 years. Additionally, you will be provided with a custom-made night guard and comprehensive written instructions on how to care for your new teeth during the next 90 days. As part of the healing process, patients are advised to follow a soft diet for 90 days, and you will also receive detailed written dietary recommendations and restrictions. This appointment typically lasts less than an hour.

90-DAY FOLLOW UP:

Confirming Implant Integration
After a 90-day period of healing, you will come back for a regular check-up to ensure that everything is in perfect condition. Another x-ray will be conducted to confirm that your implants have fully fused with your jawbone. This usually marks the end of the soft food diet, and most patients can resume their normal eating habits. The Lakeshore Dental Studio procedure is now finished, and you have the freedom to shape your own future!

1-Year Evaluation and Annual Recare

Patients are encouraged to return one year after receiving their zirconia teeth for a hygiene evaluation. Dr. Kella will assess each patient and recommend a personalized recare schedule. To maintain the Lakeshore Dental Studio warranty, fixed bridges must be removed for routine maintenance and professional cleaning at least once a year. However, patients may need to return more frequently if their home care is inadequate. Come back every 3-4 months, cost is 250-500 per visit and include the following services:
